No title for today... Or is that a title already?
okies... lets start at the beginning... got to church at 845 and had b'fast there... wroship started at 11 exactly... it was kinda bizzare cos there was no projector used... instead char gave out songsheets... as ben put it, primitive, but effective... Bs by auntie yueh followed... it was quite interesting cos of the verse that we covered... extremely uplifting and triumphial in tone... after BS, followed germ, julia, julian, gabriel, jase and isaac for subway lunch... havent had that in a long time already... then played LAN with them... after that, we switched to pool... quite off form today, missing all the easy shots and screwing up the harder ones... finally left at 5 and headed home with julia in tow... on the train, i discovered that my phone's LCD was kinda screwing up so i went to the shop and had it checked out... luckily it wasnt something major that would require an operation... mum called just then so i met her at compasspoint for dinner... she wanted to go try the char kway teow at serangoon gardens so we took a cab there... i queued up upon reaching the place but could only eat 45mins later cos of the queue and the pace that the guy cooked... sheesh man... at that point of time i told myself that the food had better be good or else i would scream... luckily it was not mad... same goes for the sugar cane juice... finished dinner then took 136 home... so now here i am watching red planet and updating my blog... gtg slp soon cos i still gotta work tml... how i wish this was still like school with the hols now on... anyways, to the sec 4s taking MT tml, all the best...
ok... news flash... basketball on vesak day, 2 june, is ON at ngee ann poly... so yeah, this just serves as a reminder to those who have heard and an announcement to those who havent... cant wait to go play... also this week, FOP is on this friday and saturday... so for more details and to confirm tt u are going, call Sm|f3... ok... that does it for this post... leave a mark will ya? the tagboard's getting under-used...

Updating...
Updating...
sorry i didnt update that day after dinner... was completely shagged out... anyways, updating for today...
wellz, the day started as usual... reported to KBC for course at 0725... learnt how to drive the 5 ton truck... auto transmission, superb power steering... excellent vehicle to operate... not to mention the air-con... after work, went home and collected my repaired 6610 from the shop on the way... so good to have it back... when i got back i was feeling tired as usual... had a nap and woke at 5... went to grandma's for dinner... simple meal but it had the warmth of eating as a family, a once a week affair... left at 7 and went to get my haircut... meanwhile i duplicated the drawer keys so that ben would finally get off my back... reached home at 815 and been playing NFSU ever since... just love my Mazda Miata... *dreams* ... now i'm feeling kinda tired again... but there's a song that's just stuck in my head and i can't get it out... maybe it's cos i play it over and over again on my winamp... :P... Perfect by Simple Plan... enjoy...
Hey dad look at me
Think back and talk to me
Did I grow up according to plan?
Do you think I'm wasting my time doing things I wanna do?
'Cuz it hurst when you disapprove all doing
And now I try hard to make it
I just want to make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't pretend that
I'm alright
And you can't change me
'Cuz we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
Now it's just too late and
We can't go back
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect
I try not to think
About the pain I feel inside
Did you know you used to be my hero?
All the days you spend with me
Now seem so far away
And it feels like you don't care anymore
And now I try hard to make it
I just want to make you proud
I'm never gonna be good enough for you
I can't stand another fight
And nothing's alright
Nothing's gonna change the things that you said
Nothing's gonna make this right again
Please don't turn your back
I can't believe it's hard
Just to talk to you
'Cuz you don't understand
'Cuz we lost it all
Nothing lasts forever
I'm sorry
I can't be perfect

Basketball never felt so good...
Basketball never felt so good...
sheesh... dead tired liaoz... just got back home from bball at ngee ann poly... well, lets start from the beginning...
the whole group of us, namely jason, julian, sean, wan ting, Sm|f3, ryan, andre, the cow, germ, and myself, left church after LH finished at abt 1330... the weather was sweltering hot so we played pool for an hour before going off to tanglin CC in search of a bball court... but when we reached there, there wasn't any space on the court cos the guys playing there suddenly wanted to play a full-court game when we reached... so inconsiderate lor... but cant blame them... they're singaporeans... so we left and headed down to CCAB to try our luck... but it kinda ran dry... we started shooting hoops on a volleball cum bball court but got chased away by a group of filippino ladies playing vball... there, we also met shaun and julia and Sm|f3 had to go home... then it was off to NP to try their courts... thankfully, they weren't occupied... so started out bball session... and that was at 5... we played 3 half-court matches... but the last one was the best... Singapore Swimmers vs Orange Milkshakes... the swimmers won but hey, it was just a friendly match... then we left for dinner at abt 7... went to the bt timah mkt... super a lot of food there man... the hokkien mee is great... and so was the satay and sugar cane... yum... will go there again if we play at NP in the near future... after that, took 77 to dhoby and took NEL home... now i'm super beat... gg to slp now... tml still have driving test... kkz... nitez~! and do leave a mark... :P

Wrap up of the week... unwrapped...
Wrap up of the week... unwrapped...
alrighty then... it's already friday and i think it's safe enough to wrap up the whole week's activities in this one post...
ok... lets start with driving in army... well, this week i passed my heights and lashing test pretty early in the week... that took off some burden cos i didnt really have a chance to practice and perfect the tying method... then there was the parking test yesterday... before i took the test, i was pretty calm and collected... maybe i was just confident... or was it over-confident as my trainer said... oh well, the test went on without a hitch and i passed... but that came with aother problem... now that i passed, i have practically nothing to do while waiting to drive... so i just sit around and slack... but without any air-con and with the super hot weather, it really sucks... then i get tired and try to sleep but i find myself unable to... so i start getting grumpy and criticise the parking of those who failed... sheesh... what a way to spend the rest of my days in driving school...
then on wednesday, the horrible happened... i cracked the LCD screen on my hp... and the only way to save it is to replace the screen completely... and that would cost $100+++... i'm in deep trouble... but luckily i managed to borrow my grandma's hp from her and my parents agreed to chip in half the cost of a new phone... i'm looking forward to getting the sony ericsson T630 phone... but with a price tag of almost $500, i'm still thinking twice... should i get this or the older T610 for $268??? somebody help me!
dbs today was really quite good... learnt about being a close-knit family and just doing things to praise God... thought the group was very small today, it actually proved to be quite beneficial cos there werent people just fighting for attention... uncle nick led it just perfectly i must say...
oh well, i'm getting sleepy from all that slacking at work today... so until the next post, leave a mark!

The blog.
The Blog.
I first discovered this nifty little thingy about a year ago when my friends in church started this craze about blogging and my best bud Chris Chau started keeping his online diary. Thinking it was a good idea and a great way to make my thoughts heard, I started keeping one too. Ever since, it has been a great help whenever I just want to voice out my opinion or just make a silent shout-out to the people reading my blog.
Therefore, as a blogger myself, I believe that most other bloggers hate it when their blog gets defaced through their tag boards. My good friend Jason just had his defaced today. So now, I'm going to make myself heard and this guy had better hear it...
Listen up you slimy, devious little prick, don't you EVER go around saying that people's blogs are just boring. If you're up to it, go show us YOUR blog if you have one and give us a glimmer of hope that your stinking little life ain't boring at all. People have the right as to what they want to write on their own blogs. And that's a fact you snivelling little weasel. So just go sit down and THINK about your life and quit going about the boring task of looking at people's blogs just so that you can criticise them!!! Devious little prick...
Ok... that about wraps it... Leave a Mark!

NEW LAYOUT
Mark, I think you're gonna kill me if you see the state your code is in. It's ghastly.
Smife, if you still have the image, could you make the blogging space a little bit smaller so there's space for the tagboard? I think you flattened it when you sent it to me, so I can't edit it.
THIS IS TO ALL MOZILLA USERS WHO'S READING THIS. I'm so sorry!!!! I truly am. I know this looks absolutely horrible, but I really can't figure out how to do scrollbars on Mozilla. Sorry. Don't worry, it looks horrible on mine too.

Planet Shakers shake the planet!!!
Planet Shakers shake the planet!!!
Planet Shakers rock... Not surprising that they SHAKE THE PLANET!!!
What You've Done for Me
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
Na Na Na Na Na Na Na
Na Na Na Na Na
(Repeat)
In the darkest night
You called my name
Beckoned me to come
Let me hear your voice
Day by day
Your the holy one
I will sing
Of your freedom
I will tell of all the wonderous things you've done
Let me run
In your presence
Let me dance gonna get a little crazy for you
Cant stop thinking about you Lord
Cant stop thinking about your love
Cant stop thinking about what you've done for me
Cant stop thinking about you Lord
Cant stop thinking about your love
Cant stop thinking about what you've done for me
Everything to Me
When i feel down i look to you
When i feel low your words ring true
Its not by might or in my strength
But its by your spirit moving in my life
Cos God you are my life
I will praise you
you're everything to me
I'll live for you
You're the reason that i sing
I won't go back to the way it used to be
Cos i've found you and your everything to me
At times when i look down and all i see is
Sinking sand
I'm thankful that it's you the solid rock on
Which i stand
I will praise you
you're everything to me
I'll live for you
You're the reason that i sing
I won't go back to the way it used to be
Cos i've found you and your everything to me
Open Up the Gates
We come into this Holy place
To bring a sacrifice of praise
Bow down before you and seek your face
We sing of the mighty things you've done
Cry out to you
"let your will be done"
Tell all the World you're the Holy One
Hear the shouts of praise
As they're rising up to you
Come and fill this place
As we bring glory to your name
Open up the gates and let the
King of glory in
Fill this house with praises as we
Lift our hands and worship you
Open up the doors and let your
Glory fill the earth
King of heaven we dance before your throne
King of heaven come and
Take your place
Dwell among us as we
Seek your face
Open up the gates and let the
King of glory in
Fill this house with praises as we
Lift our hands and worship you
Open up the doors and let your

Van Helsing...
Van Helsing...
The movie is set in the late 19th century during a time when the super-villians of the past ruled much of Europe. These included Dracula, Frankenstein and the Wolfman.
Eastern Europe was under much seige by Count Dracula who sent vampires to kill people every now and then and at the same time conduct a little experiment which would cause much harm to the human race. The people of Transylvania cried out for someone to help kill Dracula and their cries were heard and answered by the Vatican City. They sent Van Helsing.
Weilding some pretty exotic weapons, he and his side-kick Carl journeyed into Romania to help Anna Valerious vanquish Dracula. If they failed, Anna and all of her ancestors will never be able to enter the gates of heaven.
The show is full of action scenes which see Van Helsing swinging around using a grappling hook and battling huge mionsters at the same time. Meanwhile, quirky come-back lines and funny, Jackie Chan fighting moves provide comic relief. The "suaveiness" of Van Helsing coupled with the cool weapons he carries make this seem like a 007 movie form the Dark Ages.
In conclusion, Van Helsing is a rather good movie to go catch not only because of Hugh Jackman and Kate Bekinsale but because of the extreme quality of the action. Well, what are you waiting for? Go catch it!

Drifting
Drifting... to oblivion...
He now spends most of his time alone, wondering to himself why he lost all of his close friends... Was it what he did to them? Maybe it was because of his seemingly bad attitude... Or was it because he could not be around with them due to work commitments? Well, he sure as hell does not have a clue... Maybe if they just told me what is wrong and I change, he wondered to himself... Maybe I really need to apologise to some people... But who? he ponders...
The sadness could be seen in the way he behaved now... He was once talkative and friendly while around with his close friends... Now he's just like a nameless face in the crowd, a drifter with nowhere to go, nobody to turn to when the wind and rain set in... He could just die of hypothermia or just freeze to death and nobody, not even his best of friends, who now seem to be a thing of the past, would even give a damn...
He was once a prominent figure in the group of friends he used to be around with... Considered a leader when he took up a position in the "council" of the organization he belonged to... Now he's just left out from whatever management of all activities... Sometimes, he wonders if he had been appreciated in the past cracking his head while thinking of things to help feed more fun and life into the organization... He used to make music for a greater being with much joy and pride but now, he attempts to figure out why he's playing whenever he plays during the weekly praise-lifting sessions...
He's now starting to feel irritated and a little angry that though prople know that there's something amiss, they absolutely refuse t odo anything about it... In this situation, there's just no excuse... If there's something wrong with me, tell me... I'll do my best to change the situation... He really doesn't want to feel the way he does at the present moment... If it could all change, he'll be back to his old cheerful self again... But that's if the people around him decide to take some form of action and help him get out of this self-pitying state that he's trapped in now... What he needs is a good talking-to session... No shouting and screaming... Just plain and simple talk to straighten out the rough patches and make life better for everybody...
But for now, he'll just have to be content with the crappy attitude in which everybody is treating him now... Everything's a big secret; a secret which absolutely everybody knows but him... There's a really lousy feeling that comes with being kept in the dark especially when you know that the secret is about you and that it is spreading like wild-fire... How does he know this? When he approaches a certain group, they suddenly stop talking and only resume after he's out of earshot... But they never counted on the fact that he could roughly discern the words of the conversation just by looking at their lips and observing their behaviour... Saddened is he that he sometimes wants to cry... Disappointed is he that he sometimes just wants to walk away from buddies... Angry is he that he sometimes just wants to go shout at people... Forgiving are they that they treat him like he's come clean of all wrongs (he hopes and prays)...
Will they ever forgive him? Will life be changed for the better? Will he return to that "exclusive" group of friends he once held dear? I have no idea...

S41 REUnited
S41 reUnited
when i recieved the SMS from razif on tuesday, i couldnt believe it... there was going to be a class outing and reunion gathering on labour day... it was going to be at east coast park and there was going to be night cycling too... i just couldnt resist saying no and accepted the invitation immediately...
so today started with me waking up at 9 in the morning and fooling around with the comp till abt 2 when dad finally decided to go for lunch... i had the meal with mum and dad at compass point and finished around 3... boy was the niang tou fu good... so then i left and proceeded to city hall to meet zif and shahin... but then i didnt know why i fell asleep at serangoon station and woke up at clarke quay... dhoby ghaut was my planned destination and clarke quay was 1 station too far... took a train back after i realized my error and proceeded on from there to city hall... we were supposed to meet at 430 but as usual, ppl were late and finally came at 445... went to the supermarket to get drinks and snacks and then we hitched a ride from a cab down to east coast macs... the meeting time that (Wai)^2 stated was 5 but we reached at 530 and somehow were the first ones there... guess the S41 "on-time-everytime" syndrome still sticks even after leaving school some 5 months perviously... the rest ((Wai)^2, nasir, lawrence and edmund) came staggered until about 7 when bernard and ruiying finally showed up... being dinner time, we popped into some turkish restaurant and consumed dinner... well, the food there's not as nice as NYDC... but at least it was affordable... wont go into details here... after dinner at abt 8+, we finally got into the idea of renting the bikes... most of the people there were going to stay overnight and cycle but lawrence, razif and myself couldnt stay the night and rented only for 2 hours... so began our little night riding escapade down towards the airport... we cycled past many of east coast's hot spots such as the costa sands chalets, the UDMC food place and the lagoon hawker centre which was finally open after a long period of upgrading... we reached bedok jetty at approximately 9 and got off our bikes and walked around, savouring the cooling night air.... there were many anglers around and we arrived just in time to see one pull up a sea snake from the depths... it was quite small but it struggled much after being hooked... we decided to take a group photo at this point and got some stunt-biker guy to do it for us... though the lighting was quite bad, the photo was taken and it looked alright... by that time, those who werent staying had to head back as the rental place closed at 10... as we went back, we passed the shop and headed to the observation point just beyond the driving range and took a photo there as well... hope i can get (Wai)^2's MSN contact so that i can get the photos from here... from there, we cycled back to the shop and returned the bikes... we then headed down to the 7-11 and bought drinks plus snacks for the night riders... at that point of time, the outing came to a close for lawrence, razif and me as we parted ways once again and headed home... this will probably be an outing i'll never forget for some time to come... maybe we can do it again during the coming vesak day holiday... oh well, until then i'll just have to be satisfied with seeing my army friends at work... ok... kinda late now... and there's worship sunday tml... so till the next post, leave a mark...
